Monday 19th July
Sam: Hi Don, All your offerings are one size. As a small diabetic person your pizzas, which I love, are too big. But once I get stuck into a pizza I cannot help finishing it! Any plans for a smaller size?
Don:
Hi Sam, no plans for a smaller size at this stage but we are always interested in customer feedback so you never know.
Mark: Hi Don, On our recent trip to Brisbane from Adelaide, we ate at Vapiano three times in two days. We loved it that much! Any word on an Adelaide restaurant?
Don:
Hi Mark, glad you love the restaurant! We will get to Adelaide eventually but it won't be for awhile yet.
Anon: Hi Don, love the restaurant! Can't stop coming back! I was just wondering how much pasta is in a serving at Vapiano?
Don:
Hi Anon, there is about 180 grams of pasta in each serving and then we add the sauces.
Friday 9 July 2010
Judith: Hi Don, Why does the Caesar Salad on your menu has no bacon, egg and anchovies listed on the description? Those are the main ingredient of a Caesar Salad. A number of us wanted to order that salad but changed our minds when we read the description. It is not Caesar Salad without any bacon!
Don:
Hi Judith, we use anchovies and eggs in our caesar dressing however you are right in the fact there is no bacon in our particular caesar recipe. Let me discuss this with 'The Don's' wife and come back to you on it.
Anon: Hi Don, Yes this question has been asked/answered before but I'd really like to know how the nutritional information is coming along? You should consider creating certain meals that are marketed at people trying to be healthy or figure conscious. It's huge in Australia, particularly for women!
Don:
Hi Anon, as you can see below it is not something we can do at this stage however as soon as we can we will. Thanks for the feedback!
Britta: Hi Don! I LOVE your restaurant! I'm going there tomorrow tonight with friends as well. I was hoping to get your Bolognese Pasta Recipe? (Only if it's not top secret)
Don: Hi Britta, glad you love us...unfortunately it is a top secret recipe and whilst we would love to share it we are unable to do so.
Bethany: Hi Don, This is such a great service for customers. I was wondering whether you were any closer to getting the nutritional information for your dishes (eg. calorific information, fat etc)?
Don: Hi Bethany, sorry but we are no closer at this stage, as I have mentioned it is a massive undertaking and as a single restaurant operation in Australia we do not have the resource at this point in time to be able to do it.
Hi everyone, this is a message from the Don! We must apologise as some people have been looking through the Frequently Asked Questions and there is old information that we have not removed regarding the car parking validation. We are no longer able to provide the vouchers because we can no longer obtain them from the car park operator! Sorry again.
Anon: Hi Don, In which countries does Vapiano exist?
Don: Hi Anon, we are currently open or about to open in 39 countries including the U.S, Germany, England, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Saudia Arabia, Dubai. Check out www.vapiano.com for a full list.
Derek: Hi Don, When are you opening a Sydney Restuarant?
Don: Hi Derek, we hope to open in mid 2011 in Sydney.
Erin: Hi Don, I love that you try and use local ingredients, but was wondering how much of your produce at the moment is local? Are there any dishes that are more local than others? I can't wait for my first Vapiano experience! Thank-you.
Don: Hi Erin, at the moment we are getting tomatoes, capsicum, celery, basil, mint, cucumber, pumpkin, mushrooms and shallots locally - this is probably around 75% of all our fresh produce. We are getting our spinach and salad mix from Victoria and our carrots from Tassie right now. A funghi pasta is about as local as you can get right now. Look forward to seeing you!
Ahmed: Hi Don, Do you have "halal" meat ?
Don: Hi Ahmed, no sorry we do not do halal meat.
Anon: Hi Don, I know this has been asked before, but the more who ask, the more you'll realize this is important to many people. Please post nutritionals. Can't see how this is a difficult marketing issue. I can eat just about anywhere as long as I know what choices I am making. Calories, fat and fiber. Why is this so time consuming and difficult? I would see this as a marketing plus for those of us trying to be healthy...unless your food isn't healthy?
Don: Hi Anon, I wish it was that easy! Organising accurate nutritional information is a massive undertaking and something we unfortunately cannot do at the moment. All I can say is that everything we make is freshly prepared daily at the restaurant using the freshest ingredients.
Andrew: Hi Don, I have just returned from QLD where I ate at Vapiano's..... Now, let me say that I think and believe that Melbourne is the food capital of Australia, BUT, Vapiano's has to be one of the most refreshing concept restaurants that I have ever dined at. Do you have plans to open in Melbourne?
Don: Hi Andrew, thanks for the feedback! We will definately open in Melbourne just not sure when at this stage.
Mei Li: Hi Don, I've just been travelling around UK/Europe where my Berliner friend introduced me to Vapiano in Germany & I introduced it to a fellow Sydneysider in Nuremberg... Love, love, love, love, love it! I'd also love to have my birthday/welcome home bash at Vapiano Sydney but I guess I'll have to sit on the edge of my seat until 2010... (which month?!) In the meantime, is there any incentive for me to join the Vapiano Fanatico if I don't live in Brisbane? i.e. would I get special deals as the first(?) Sydney member? ;)
Don: Hi Mei Li, great to hear from you and love to know we have people from all over the world loving Vapiano! We hope to be open July 2011 in Sydney. Join up now just so you know what is going on and as we get close to opening you can email me direct and we can invite you to our VIP Opening party in Sydney.
Anon: Hi Don, Are you BYO?
Don: Hi Anon, sorry no we aren't. We have two bars with draught and bottled beer, cocktails, spirits and a wine list.
Angela: Hi Don, do you have any drink specials??? Friday nights I heard there are?
Don: Hi Angela, yes we do between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Pop in and have a look at what's on offer.
Anon: Hi Don, As Nick mentioned below, I was wondering whether you have any progress updates on GF options. Cheers
Don: Hi Anon, no sorry I do not have any updates at the moment but we are working on it and will have a solution asap.
Fayette: Hi Don, I cannot find Albert Lane in my street directory - could you please tell me where you are located. Thank you.
Don: Hi Fayette, we are located in a small laneway off Albert Street between Queen Street and Elizabeth Street. Ifyou walk from Queen Street down Albert Street towards Elizabeth Street we are on the left and the laneway is between Kathmandu and Hype DC retail stores.
De: Hi Don, do you cater for vegans? What menu choices would you recommend for your vegan diners? Would i need to call ahead and book for a vegan meal? Sorry for all the questions, looking forward to your reply... De
Don: Hi De, there are a number of our pasta dishes that you could try - Arrabiata,
Pesto, Funghi and Pomodoro. You can try some of our pizza's without the
mozarella and we have a great range of salads as well. No need to call ahead just order them from our chefs when you arrive.
Julie: Hi Don, PLEASE post your nutritional data for your dishes. I try to be as healthy as I can, but I'm watching my weight and may have to drop you guys off my list. I can't even tell if I'm being good - below 500 calories eating a small insalata mista with vinagrette and tomato soup. At least your chefs were able to assure me the soup was ok. Please add calories - it is going to be a law sooner rather than later anyway - why not just post it.
Don: Hi Julie, I would love to post nutritional data however at the moment it is a massive undertaking involving significant time and expense and as a small restaurant owner I am not in a position to achieve this. Maybe once we have more restaurants here in Australia we will look to do it but until I can only assure you that we use the freshest ingredients we can and male all of our pasta and pizza fresh daily.
PS. Not sure about the soup you mentioned as we do not sell soup!
Manda: Hi Don, I have a booking for 'Scott' for this Saturday night the 29th of May (for 16 ppl) and I was just wondering if I set it up with another company to deliver them (their just across the road) if it would be okay if you guys were to put a few balloons at the table for me?? Its for my fiance's birthday and I just thought it might be an extra nice touch. Also too, this might be a silly question but we are all sitting at the same table arent we?? Or have you just booked us in for 16 people & whatever seats we find on the night are it? Its just last time I was there I cant remember seeing a big enough table....? Would be great to hear from you. Thanks, Manda :)
Don: Hi Manda, no problem on the baloons. We will set them up for you once they are delivered. You are sitting on the one table - we have one long table that seats 16 people. See you Saturday!
Nick: Hi Don, Your response below says GF pasta will be available by April, but still isn't (now May). How hard can it be? A green salad is hardly an inspiring alternative.... There's been a few questions on GF pasta, so there's clearly a market for it.
Don: Hi Nick, sorry for the delay. The issue we have right now is product quality and cooking process. We have not found a product we are comfortable with and I will not put anything on the menu until it is right. The other challenge is being able to cook gluten free pasta - we have pasta boilers that we use through out the day however these are used for regular pasta and cannot be used for gluten free so we need to work out how we fit this into our current cooking process. There is definately a market for it and we will launch something as soon as we get it right.
Tracey: Hi Don, Do you do take away? We were hoping to have a lunch here at work (400 George St) and wanted to be able to pick up lunch for our team one day next week?
Don: Hi Tracey, yes we do takeaway. If you pick up just prior to midday then you can phone through your order, otherwise pop down and we can prepare it for you once you order.
Anon: Hi Don, Where could I find the nutrition list? (calories, fat, ingredients, etc.) Thanks
Don: Hi Anon, we do not carry a nutritional list for our products. It is something we will look to do in the future.
Anon: Hi Don, Hope you come to Sydney too!! I just came back from London Vapiano near Oxford circus and loved the place. Great idea to cook food in front of you where you can tell chef "I like my garlic strong!!". Also love the herb plants on the table, I'm a gardener/cook myself. Please come to Sydney!!! =)
Don: Hi Anon, great to hear of people visiting Vapiano around the world! We hope to open in Sydney during 2011 - see you then.
Chiara: Hi Don, I love the decor of Vapiano, could you tell me where you got the photo which is upsatirs of the lady infront of a crowd of men on the wall near the bar....it is fantastic is it of Sophia Loren? Chiara
Don: Hi Chiara, thanks for the feedback. You are one of several people who have asked about that photo. I have been trying to find out for quite so awhile some information on the photo and finally received the answer last night. I bought the image from a company in Europe and they have told me that picture was taken by Mario de Biasi in 1954. They are trying to find out who it is in the picture.
Alison: Dear Don, My team had a wonderful lunch at Vapiano's on Wednesday 5 May. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was great. NB: I am not just saying that because Italian is my favourite cuisine, it really was wonderful and I would recommend the restaurant/food to any of my friends. We also liked the chip card system as it meant we could order what we liked and there was no problems at the end of lunch working out who had eaten/drunk what items. I am sure I will find many excuses to dine there again. Keep up the great work. Kind Regards.
Don: Hi Alison, thank you for the positive feedback. It always nice to hear people enjoy the concept. Look forward to seeing you soon.
Anon: Hi Don, Thanks for answering the question about the salt. I am glad to hear that I will be able to enjoy your wonderful menu.
Don: Hi Anon, no problem. Hope to see you soon.
Karen: Hi Don, are children catered for a welcomed?
Don: Hi Karen, we do cater for and welcome children. We have high chairs and a childrens menu.
Don: Hi Anon, you recently posted a question around iodine in the salt. Just wanted to confirm the salt is not iodised salt so you will have no problems.
Anon: Hi Don, My work does a lunch every month where we order food in and eat together to bond... I was wondering if you do takeaway so I can recommend you to my workmates for an idea?
Don: Hi Anon, yes we do takeaway for all of our products.
Anja: Hi Don, We love, love, love Vapiano! We come and eat there every time we head to Brisbane. Any chance that you will open a restaurant on the Sunshine Coast?
Don: Hi Anja, so happy that you love, love, love Vapiano. We are looking at the Sunshine Coast, it won't be this year but maybe next year.
Anon: Hi Don, I am allergic to iodine. What salt do you use in your Pizzas and Pastas? If iodised salt, can I pre-order to ensure iodised salt is not used?
Don: Hi Anon, I will find out from our supplier the answer to your question. I will then post a response here so look out for it.
Luke : Hi Don, Came in for dinner last night. Thought the concept and atmosphere were great. A concern about the lights on the tables upstairs though are that they block the view and obstruct conversation.
Don: Hi Luke, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your comments on the tables, in the short term I will not be able to change out the light but will work on a solution going forward.
Michael: Hi Don, I know you already answered this, but it would really be great to get vapiano's nutritional information.
Don: Hi Michael, thanks for the feedback. We will have the information at some point in time but unfortunately I do not have a time frame for you.
Carmen: Hi Don, was hoping to have your panna cotta recipe.
Don: Hi Carmen, I will have it posted on our website early next week so look out for it.
Deny: Hi Don, Do you offer any vegetarian dishes?
Don: Hi Deny, half of our pastas and nearly half of our pizzas are vegetarian along with our great salad range.
Annette: Hi Don, any tips for making pasta at home? cheers
Don: Hi Annette, it is a bit like the secret herbs and spices from the Colonel. It is our closely guarded secret - and if we shared it then you wouldn't need to come into Vapiano for fantastic pasta!
Sam: Hi Don, do you have gluten free foods as I am gluten intolerant.?
Don: Hi Sam,at the moment just our range of great salads. We are getting very close to launching our gluten free pasta option and recently had the coeliac society in the verify some our procedures. Keep an eye on the website for the announcement.
D: Hi Don, is there any way to receive the nutrition info about the vapiano dishes? Especially the panna-cotta (for which I would also love the recipe)
Don: Hi D, sorry we do not have the nutritional information for our dishes. If you email me on the email address on the website then I can send you the recipe for our panna cotta. Glad you like it!
Anon: Hi Don, I heard you have happy hour from 5.30-6.30 with half price beer and cocktails is this true? If we are to come in on a Friday afternoon can we just have drinks or do we need to order food? Thanks.
Don: Hi Anon, yes we have happy hour from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. We have half priced Hahn Super Dy on tap, sparkling wine and two of our cocktails. We also do $5 basic spirits during this hour. You can come in and just have drinks. See you soon.
Elizabeth: Hi Don, If it's a birthday function, are we allowed to bring in our own cake?
Don: Hi Elizabeth, no problem with the birthday cake at all.
Anon: Hey Don...could you please fill me in on this $5 night parking?
Don: Hi Anon, it is pretty simple...just make sure you enter the Secure car park off Elizabeth Street, dine at Vapiano and when you pay your bill make sure you ask for a parking voucher. When you get down to the car park insert your original ticket followed by the voucher and the total cost for night time parking will be $5.
Jade: Hi Don, Do you allow separate bills for one table?
Don: Hi Jade, sorry for being slow getting back to you...even The Don has a break over Easter! Yes we allow separate bills - everyone in your party will receive a 'chip card' and whenever you order anything it goes on your individual card - then each individual just pays for what they had on the way out. It is very simple.
Anon: Hi Don, is the parking on the left (Wintergarden?) or the right (Wilson parking?)? Thanks!
Don: Hi Anon,
when you come down Elizabeth Street, cross Albert Street and it is a
Secure car park with the entrance just after Albert Street. The lift
will take you directly to the foyer area near Vapiano.(that was an easy one just like below)
Anon: Hi
Don, Where is the entry to your carparking off Elizabeth St? What is the carpark called? I would like to take advantage of the $5 night parking. Thanks!
Don: Hi Anon, when you come down Elizabeth Street, cross Albert Street and it is a Secure car park with the entrance just after Albert Street. The lift will take you directly to the foyer area near Vapiano.
Akemi: Hey
Don, I was wondering if you do functions for birthdays? I went to Vapiano last week for my first time, it was great! friendly service, fresh pastas and loved the bar lounge chairs ! Feels like home!
Don: Hi Akemi, yes we could do a birthday function for you. Call the restaurant on 0732214933 and ask for Tim and he can discuss options with you.
Anon: Hi
Don, I am a vegan so no meat, no seafood, no dairy and no eggs. Do you have any meals that would be suitable for me?
Don: Hi Anon, someone just asked the same question so please see answer below.
Anon: Hi
Don, I've heard how fabulous you are and have been desperate to come in and try you out with some of my friends. We're pretty easy-going, but we're vegan (no animal products) and I was just wondering if there are any items you would recommend for a vegan? I don't suppose you'd ever consider stocking Redwood's Mozzarella's Cheezly Blocks? (the only decent commercial non-cheese I've tried). Thanks!
Don: Hi Anon, there are a number of our pasta dishes that you could try - Arrabiata, Pesto, Funghi and Pomodoro. You can try some of our pizza's without the mozarella and we have a great range of salads as well. Will have a look at the Redwood's.
Nidya: Hi
Don, Do you have any GF meals?
Don: Hi Nidya, our range of salads are gluten free. We have sourced some gluten free pasta and pizza and we are now working on how to integrate it into our cooking procedures.
Anon: Hi
Don, I love the fresh pasta!! Really hope you come to Sydney!!!
Don: Hi Anon, we will be in Sydney soon so look out for us!
Bec: Hi
Don, I recently had dinner in your Brisbane restaurant and really liked the decor, I was wondering where you found the stick light for your stairs?
Don: Hi Bec, they are from a company in Melbourne called Mance Designs. You can look them up on line.
Anon: Hi
Don, do you have gluten free options on the menu?
Don: Hi Anon, at the moment we just have our salad range however from April 1 we will have a gluten free pasta.
Fotene: Hi Don, I was dining in your restaurant in Brisbane yesterday and saw a photo on the wall which I would like to know more about. A woman, in a cream suit, walking toward a large group of men who were drooling over her. I think its such a fantastic picture and want to know where this was taken and who the photographer is? Thanks so much.
Don: Hi Fotene, it is a great picture! I ordered all of our images from Europe so I will endeavour to find out the information you require - it may take me awhile though. I will email you directly.
Anon: Hi Don, l can help you with a good gluten free pasta.
Don: Hi Anon, sounds great. You can email me directly using the email address on the website - look forward to hearing from you.
Diana: Hi Don, why did you guys chose to use the red color in the concept?.
Don: Hi Diana, not sure which part of the concept you refer to. We have the signage, lounge area's and part of the uniforms in red - the complete design is a combination of the original Vapiano design from Matteo Thun, who is an architect in Milan, and our local interpretation, which was completed by Tom Williams from Juicy in Sydney.
Anon: Don boy, are you cheeses suitable for vegetarians? I can only eat cheese with non-animal rennet. So I just wanted to clarify to see if I can try one of your tasty pizzas or not! Many thanks.
Don: Hi Anon, our cheese is made by an Italian family in Cairns using milk from Millaa Millaa and they only use non-animal rennet and we have a great range of vegeterian pizzas for you. See you soon.
Anon: Hello
Don! I was recently in Germany and went to Vapianos in both Munich and Berlin. They had a salami pasta on the menu that was my absolute favourite. do you have that recipe?
Don: Hi Anon, no sorry we don't - that one is called - Salciccia con Fichi - we are looking at doing a couple of specials commencing in April so maybe we will put that one on the pasta menu as a special!
Anon: Hi
Don, We ventured down for the Keith Urban concert in December 2009, but my husband keeps on raving on about your restaurant as we dropped in for a quick bite. Glad to see you are working on gluten free so I can enjoy the experience as well. Loved it shall be just driving to Brissie from the Sunshine Coast, for dinner.
Don: Hi Anon, thanks for coming in and so happy that you like the concept. Hopefully when you get down next time we will have our gluten free up and running.
Marc: Hi
Don, Is there a possibility for a franchise in Darwin?
Don: Hi Marc, at this stage we will not be franchising the concept. Once we have established the business model in Australia and proven it's success here we may look to franchise so keep in touch.
Amber: Hi
Don, Love the website! Had a lovely lunch today! Look forward to doing it again soon!
Don: Hi Amber, glad you enjoyed the lunch and love the website! See you again soon - Darcy still talking about Brock.
Anon: Hi
Don, What a wonderful restaurant! Can't wait for a gluten free pasta option so I can take my brother there.
Don: Hi Anon, thank you for the feed back. We are working on the gluten free so keep an eye on the website for notification.
Henriette: Hi Don, I've been waiting for Vapiano to open a restaurant in Australia, as I'm from Hamburg, where I used to have it all the time. Do you already know when a Melbourne restaurant will be opened? Will be in Brisbane soon and it's definitely on my list of things to do! All the best.
Don: Hi Henriette, thank you putting us on your list of things to do when you get up here! We hope to be in Melbourne soon so keep an eye out.
Charles:
Hi
Don, I work just upstairs from you and have been three times so far - many more to come! Great to have you so close. I love the food and I love the staff. The Bar staff actually pay attention and do a great job which is appreciated. I think the chip card system is brilliant. I will always be taking recalcitrant diners there for that reason alone. Bonus for them is the great food. All the best.
Don: Hi Charles, thank you so much for the feedback, we really appreciate it. So glad you are bringing in others to share the Vapiano experience! See you again soon.
Donna:
Hi
Don, I am just wondering if you do gluten free?
Don: Hi Donna, at the moment we do not do gluten free however we are working on a solution. In the mean time we do a great range of salads.
Jeremy:
Hi
Don, do you have a menu for group functions?
Don: Hi Jeremy, we do not have a seperate functions menu but depending on your group size we could plan something for you. Just give me a call at restaurant on 07 3221 4933 and ask for Will.
Kate:
Hi
Don, I've been to Vapiano in Berlin a couple of times and my sister and I
absolutely love it!! We are heading up to Brisbane in April and will
definitely be visiting but when will you be opening up one in Sydney???
Don: Hi Kate, glad you are a fan of Vapiano and make sure you come and say hello when you are up in Brisbane. We hope to open in Sydney some time in early 2011.
Anonymous:
Hi
Don, I rang your resturant to book for lunch for 10 people and they told me we can't book for lunch on Friday's - I think you need to put this on your site so people know you cant make a reservation on Friday's.
Don: Hi, my apologies for that. I have just updated the website and thanks for the feedback.
Brooke:
Hi
Don, Are you BYO?
Don: Hi Brooke, no we are fully licensed with a good wine list, tap and bottled beer, spirits and cocktails.
Kieron:
Hi Don, I have just visited your restaurant and it seems to be very well set up to lend itself to a franchise model. Are you interested in selling licenses to your business?
Don: At this stage we will not be franchising the concept in Australia. That may change in the future so keep in touch.
Beck & Ben:
Hi Don, We were fortunate enough to experience Vapiano last night at the official opening and I cannot say enough what a fantastic night it was! The food was amazing, the staff were incredible & the atmosphere was exactly what Brisbane has been waiting for...fun,relaxed & really quite exciting. We can't wait to return and gradually work our way through the delicious meals on offer. Thanks for a great night! We'll be spreading the word!
Don: Hi guys, really glad you enjoyed the night and will now 'spread the word for us'. Come and say hello next time you are in.
Anonymous:
Hi Donmeister, How fresh are the herbs on the tables?
Don: We buy fresh herbs every week and we allow them to grow a little further in the herb garden and then transfer them to the tables. The fact that we keep them in pots means they are extremely fresh when you use them. Once they have been 'picked' by our customers we then replace them.
Anonymous:
Hi Don, Do you offer free parking?
Don: Sorry no we don't. The public car park below the building is run by an independent company. What we are working on is a discounted parking voucher for when you dine at Vapiano. Hope to have something available in the next few weeks.
Anonymous:
Hi Don, We tried to phone for takeaway last nite, but there was no answer, so I went to Vapianos for lunch today and enquired about calling in for takeaway and your staff informed me the only way you can do take away is physically turning up and ordering. May I suggest you allow customers to ring in for takeaway as we are working late at work and don't have time to come in order wait for our food then go back to the office? thoughts?
Don: I understand your frustration. I wish there was a way to do it but with the way we take orders from customers face to face they will not be happy if we tell them we can not take their order because we have had takeaway orders.
Anonymous:
Hi Don, Do you have a kids menu?
Don: Yes we do. We do three of our pastas and three of our pizzas in a childrens serving for $7.50 each.
Donna:
Hi Don, What size are your pizzas?
Don: They are 30cm in diameter and depending on how hungry you are can be for one or shared.
Anonymous: Hi Don, I'm wanting to have dinner soon, but for like a group of 40. Just wondering if you're able to cater for that many people?
Don: Yes we can. We have several large area's within the restaurant that can hold 40 people. Come in and have a look.
David: Hi Don, why do you use cream in your carbonara when this is not done in Italy?
Don: There are several ways to make the carbonara creamy, some use egg and flour. We decided to use cream.
Belinda: Hi Don, I'm going to organise a group of 10+ people to come to Vapiano for lunch. Do we need to book?
Don: We would be delighted to take bookings for larger groups - call the restaurant on 07 3221 4933.
Julia: Can we come and just hang out for tea and coffee during non-peak hours?
Don: Hi Julia, of course you can, La mia casa è la tua casa.
Belle: Hi Don, do you do gluten free pasta?
Don: At this stage we do not make gluten free pasta but will be working on a solution over the coming months. Sign up to our Fanaticos newsletter and we'll let you know when we do. Ciao Belle.
Aurelia: Does your panna cotta recipe include cream cheese?
Don: Ciao Aurelia, we use a gorgeous marscapone in our panna cotta. I've tried panna cotta from every corner of Italy and believe our recipe is up there with the best.
Belle: Do you do takeaway?
Don: Of course Belle. All of our fabulous pastas, pizzas and salads can be taken away to be enjoyed at home - or at your desk.
Anon: What's your phone number in Brisbane?
Don: Hey Anon, you can drop us a line on 07 3221 4933 between 11am to 11pm.
Anon: What are your trading hours?
Don: We open everyday (except Christmas) from 11am to 11pm.
Sandra: What does ‘Vapiano’ mean?
Don: Ah! A good question. The name Vapiano actually comes from the Italian proverb: Chi va piano va sano e va lontano. Which loosely translates as: people with a relaxed attitude live a long and healthy life. And a relaxed lifestyle is just what Italians and Australians like!
Matt: Are children welcome at Vapiano?
Don: Bambinos are more than welcome at Vapiano! We have comfortable high chairs and space to put your prams. And your kids will love watching our chefs prepare the delicious fresh food!
Kassi: Can I make any changes to my dish?
Don: You sure can. Ask your cook to add extra garlic, chilli, meat, vegetables – whatever you like. Our cooks can also help with any special dietary requirements and advise you on the best pasta to have with your dish. And remember, you’ll find, olive, chilli and balsamic oil on your table along with salt and pepper and fresh basil which you can use to flavour your dishes.
Elicia: Why do you have the chip card system?
Don: The chip card gives you total freedom to do what you want, when you want. Sit where you choose, eat and drink when you would like, change tables whenever you like, and you will never get stuck with paying for somebody else’s food and drink again.
